Lagrange Point is a sci-fi role-playing game released by Konami for the Famicom on April 26, 1991. Set in 22nd-century space colonies, it follows a bio-disaster on Land1 and Land2, giant colonies built at Lagrange points. Players take on the role of an investigation team member, exploring the colonies to uncover the truth behind the incident.
Players can choose from three character types: Human, Cyborg, and Robot, each with unique abilities. Humans have balanced stats and can use HP-consuming "special moves"; Cyborgs have higher attributes but rely on direct attacks with no special moves; Robots are immune to status effects for stable combat, but can only equip specialized gear and evolve weapons via "robot parts". After winning battles, players must visit "terminals" in each district to claim bonuses calculated by the type and number of defeated enemies.
The game uses Konami's VRC7 sound chip, delivering high-quality music and sound effects, making it one of the few Famicom titles with FM sound.
