Jumpin' Kid: Jack to Mame no Ki Monogatari is an NES platform action game developed by Now Production and published by Asmik in Japan on December 19, 1990. Adapted from the classic fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk, players control Jack to climb a giant beanstalk, cross clouds, reach the giant's castle, and save his kidnapped girlfriend. It features multiple levels spanning the ground, beanstalk, clouds, airships, and the giant's castle. Some levels use vertical scrolling, like the beanstalk climb. Players collect items such as beans (boost attack power) and springs (increase jump height). The game is challenging with diverse enemies including wild animals and the giant's minions. Its gameplay, similar to the Mega Man series, focuses on platform jumping and combat skills. A North American release was planned but never launched.
