HeroQuest is a fantasy adventure board game co-released by Milton Bradley and Games Workshop in 1989. Players take on four heroes—barbarian, dwarf, elf, wizard—to explore dungeons ruled by the evil sorcerer Zargon, fight monsters, complete quests, and collect treasure. It features stunning 3D props and detailed miniatures for an immersive experience. Each hero has unique skills and magic, requiring teamwork to overcome dungeon challenges. The game includes multiple quests, plus custom quest creation for replayability. In 2021, Hasbro’s Avalon Hill launched a new HeroQuest edition, retaining core mechanics while updating character and monster designs for richer content.
