Friday the 13th is a 1989 NES action game developed by Japan's Atlus and published by US-based LJN, adapted from the iconic horror film of the same name. Players take on the role of a Crystal Lake camp patrol officer tasked with protecting 15 camping children. The game features six switchable characters, each with unique stats and skills. It primarily uses a side-scrolling perspective, but shifts to a first-person-like view when entering camp cabins. Jason may appear at any time to attack players or campers. When Jason strikes, an alarm sounds, and players must reach the scene within 60 seconds, or the attacked character or child will die. The ultimate goal is to defeat Jason and keep all characters and children safe.
