Extreme-G 2 (also known as Extreme-G XG2) is a futuristic racing game developed by Probe Entertainment and published by Acclaim Entertainment, released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998. As the second entry in the Extreme-G series, it centers on high-speed motorcycle racing: players ride plasma-powered bikes competing in interstellar grand prix at speeds over 999 mph. Each bike has unique handling traits including top speed, armor, and traction. It features multiple modes: Novice-to-Expert championships, a shooter mode (called "Arcade Mode" in XG2), multiplayer racing, and deathmatch. Players can use weapons like rear rockets, ion side cannons, and magnetic mines to attack opponents, with support for up to 4 players in intense battles.
