Excitebike 64 is a motorcycle racing game developed by Left Field Productions and published by Nintendo. It first launched on the Nintendo 64 in North America on April 30, 2000, as the 3D sequel to the 1984 NES classic Excitebike, delivering a richer gameplay experience.
Players can choose from multiple modes including motocross, supercross and freestyle, with over 25 tracks. You can pull off high-flying jumps, sharp turns and other advanced stunts, and upgrade bike performance by completing various non-linear tasks. It supports both single-player and multiplayer modes for up to 4 players.
Excitebike 64 runs at a smooth 60 frames per second, offering a realistic motorcycle riding experience. It also features real-world motocross gear brands like Bell Helmets, Alpinestars and No Fear to boost immersion.
In June 2005, it was officially introduced to mainland China by iQue as "Excitebike", released for the iQue Player — the official mainland Chinese version of the Nintendo 64.
As the second entry in the Excitebike series, Excitebike 64 builds on the classic gameplay of its predecessor with innovative new features, making it one of the most beloved racing games on the Nintendo 64 platform.
