Dragon Ball Z Gaiden: Saiyajin Zetsumetsu Keikaku (Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans) is a unique RPG released by Bandai in 1993 for the Famicom. Unlike previous entries, this game features an original story where Dr. Lychee, a survivor of the Tuffle race, seeks revenge against the Saiyans using Destron Gas. The game utilizes a sophisticated card combo system for combat, where specific sequences trigger iconic special moves. This title served as the basis for a later OVA and remains a fan-favorite for its creative departure from the main series.
