Battlezone: Rise of the Black Dogs is an action-strategy game developed by Climax Studios and published by Crave Entertainment for the Nintendo 64 on March 30, 2000. A port of the 1998 PC title *Battlezone*, it blends first-person shooter and real-time strategy elements. Players can choose from three factions—the U.S., the Soviet Union, or the rebel "Black Dogs"—each with 21 unique missions. The game features three modes: Arcade Mode, focused on direct combat; Pilot Mode, where players complete specific missions as part of an elite tank unit; and Commander Mode, which requires resource management, unit construction, and strategic planning. It also supports multiplayer for up to four players, with modes including deathmatch, capture the flag, and arena battles.
