The Prince of Tennis 2005: CRYSTAL DRIVE is an action tennis game released by KONAMI for the Nintendo DS on December 30, 2004. It features 58 characters, including players from Seigaku, Fudomine, and other schools, plus hidden characters like young versions of Nanjiro Echizen and Rinko Takeuchi.
The game makes full use of the DS's dual screens and touch controls. The top screen shows the match, while the bottom screen supports auxiliary operations—such as tapping the coach to motivate players, or touching specific symbols to unleash the "Muga no Kyouchi" (State of Selflessness) special move.
It also adds a mixed team battle mode, where players can freely assemble teams with athletes from different schools. Points earned from matches can be used to unlock new characters and other content. Supporting up to 4-player wireless battles, the game leverages the DS's hardware features to deliver a rich gameplay experience.
