Multidude is a homebrew puzzle game developed by RetroSouls for the NES platform in 2014. It features 20 levels where players control robots with unique abilities, coordinating them to ensure each reaches an unoccupied activated exit.
Each robot has distinct traits:
- Red robot: Pushes blue blocks with no other blue blocks stacked on top.
- Glasses-wearing robot: Destroys blue blocks by stepping on them.
- Green robot: Breaks special floor tiles by stepping on them.
- Blue robot: Floats freely in the air and turns inactive exits into solid blocks when far from them.
- Pink robot: Activates inactive exits when far from them.
All robots except the blue one are affected by gravity and cannot jump, but can use other robots as ladders to reach higher areas. The game also includes single-use items that transform robots into specific types.
With clever design and varied levels, Multidude tests players' strategy and operation skills. By properly utilizing robot traits and items, players solve various puzzles to guide all robots to exits and complete level challenges.
