Moai-kun is a puzzle game developed by Konami for the Famicom, released in Japan on March 9, 1990. Set on Easter Island, players control a living moai statue to rescue trapped companions and reach exits within time limits across 56 single-screen levels.
The protagonist can jump, use headbutts to break rocks and enemies, or use bombs to destroy lower rocks. Each level has limited solutions; wrong moves may block progress. Players can reset levels with the SELECT button at the cost of a life, and earn extra lives by completing levels.
Inspired by Easter Island culture, the game features island-themed backgrounds and stone-like enemies, with some cloud-based levels adding fantasy elements. Though never officially released in North America or Europe, most in-game text is in English, with only the title screen in Japanese. It was well-received in Japan for its unique puzzle-platformer gameplay.
